Its About the Kids

Cheesy Gifts began when I found families who created pages on Facebook about their kids and the battles with cancer, TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), abuse, bullying and everything in between. I have learned so much from these families, who I now count as the "best friends I've never met"!

By purchasing and sending small gifts to the kids, I saw how much of a difference it made to not only the kids who received them, but the families who loved seeing the kids smile in the midst of some of the most difficult times of their lives. 

HELP MAKE A KID SMILE!

While my "Cheesy Gifts" have been on a small scale, it is our hope Cheesy Gifts, Inc. can help more kids, on a larger scale.

Mission Statement: To provide smiles to kids and families battling sickness, bullying and adversity.

​Cheesy Gifts is a 501(c)3 non-profit located in North Carolina. We attempt to bring a smile to kids who need one. Kids that are fighting illness. Kids that are bullied. Kids everywhere who need to smile.

Small, unannounced gifts can brighten anyone's day, but especially that of a child's.

​Bullying by word or action can destroy the self esteem of a child and impact the entire family. Cheesy Gifts is a huge supporter of those kids who are bullied and face that adversity every day.

Catastrophic illness can cause untold stress in the lives of everyone in the family. People can lose their jobs, their homes and unfortunately, sometimes their loved ones.

Cheesy Gifts wants to take that anxiety, that stress, and push it to the side - even for a few minutes . . . and put a smile on the face of a child . . . on the face of a family!

Illness

• Kids can spend weeks, even months in a hospital bed. They deserve to smile.
• Parents want to spend as much time with their kids as they can. They can use help.
• Siblings spend weeks at a time not seeing their sick brother or sister, and sometimes a parent. They shouldn't be left out.
• Cheesy Gifts will help to bring a smile to the kids and their siblings.

Bullying

• Bullied kids suffer from isolation, anxiety and depression. They deserve to smile.
• Parents are often at a loss on how to help. Even the smallest of gifts can bring relief to a home.
• Cheesy Gifts knows these children and families are important too!

Abuse

• Child abuse comes in many forms. Sexual. Physical. Psychological. These kids deserve to smile.
• Abused kids tend to have trust issues. By sending a smile, Cheesy Gifts hopes to help rebuild that trust.
• An abuse victim can suffer from PTSD, just as a someone who has participated in war. 
• Cheesy Gifts wants to help put a smile back on these kids' faces.
